YOGA NIDRA FOR WOMEN

2 days in person
plus zoom meetings 6 hour (dates to be confirmed with the group on the opening weekend)

The course covers the study and practice of Yoga Nidra for Women – the Art of Relaxation for Women.

Syllabus:

Practical: 2 days of Yoga Nidra practice and theory
in Studio JogaMed/ Warsaw/Poland
for all interested Women

Additional option for yoga instructors
Home practice of Yoga Nidra (one month)
+ online meeting on zoom (after min 1 month of Yoga Nidra practice) with exam.

The aim of Yoga Nidra Teacher's Training for Women is to prepare Yoga Instructors to teach dedicated Yoga Nidra for Women - during Yoga Nidra classes and individual consultations.

Topics for the weekend:
- Yoga Nidra background – Classic Yoga & Yoga Nidra
- Yoga Nidra and its effects for Body, Mind & Soul
- The states of relaxation during Yoga Nidra
- The importance of deep relaxation for Women
- How Yoga Nidra can help and support Women on their life journeys. Such as; baby’s birth, honoring menstrual cycles, improving fertility, returning home to her womb, support during perimenopause and menopause and to let go.


Course schedule:
1 part - practical experience - open to all interested women.
Venue: Studio JogaMed, Warszawa, Poland

2nd part – after 1 month - for Yoga Teachers only – online meeting on zoom for feedback, Q&A and exam – teaching Yoga Nidra. Dates to be confirmed with participants during the in person weekend.

Healing begins with letting go and relaxation. Yoga Nidra is the practice of Deep Relaxation and Lucid Dreaming. It originates from the tantric practice of nyasa, a practice that aimed to turn consciousness inward, which includes the practice of visualizing and directing attention and energy to particular areas. During yoga nidra, consciousness is redirected from the outside to the inside; we can move from a state of distraction to a state of mindfulness, to a state of full presence. Women live under great tension, under the pressure of responsibilities, internal and external conflicts; so they need deep relaxation, relief and support at key moments in their lives to return to the natural cycle - to the natural menstrual cycle and to honor it. Honoring her connection to her womb and to her emotional cycles and to the cyclical nature of life. Yoga Nidra for Women is a meditation and relaxation technique, letting go, opening to subtle feelings and transformation; a change of thinking and a change of perspective. Yoga Nidra requires you to relax your body and maintain a conscious mind that follows the instructions; it is a practice available to everyone.

The teacher’s training of Yoga Nidra consists of direct contact 16 Hours (in person in Yoga Studio)
Self practice for at least one month. Min 10 classes of 30 min each. 8 hours of self practice.

Barbara Maziarska will be leading the whole course – 100%.

Yoga Nidra Teacher’s Training for Women will end with a practical exam (leading Yoga Nidra for Women) – during online meetings (6 hours) in the two months following the in person weekend..

 

Content

Description

Practice of Yoga Nidra

Approximately 60% of the total hours will be spent in the actual physical practice of Therapeutic Yoga Nidra for Women. Women will learn & practice the sequence of different Yoga Nidras.

Teaching Practice and Methods

Approximately 15 % of the course

As it is the teacher training is for Yoga Instructors, we will focus on the differences only, and on how to teach /lead Yoga Nidra for Women as art of relaxation and it’s healing aspect.

What is the overall AIM of the course

The aim of the course is to prepare the Students to teach Therapeutic Yoga Nidra for Women.

Approx. 25% of the total hours

The course has a focus in supporting Women’s health by deep relaxation and by awareness of the natural flow; connecting to Mother Earth; restoring the natural connection to her Womb and emotions. 

What will the graduate be able to do at end of course?)

 

At the end of the course, the participants (Woman) is familiar with the sequences of Therapeutic Yoga Nidra for Women and has tested how it works for them during the time of the training. They will be able to teach Yoga Nidra class.

How will the course be assessed

The course is assessed continuously using self-feedback and trainer feedback. Students will be constantly mentored throughout the course and given advice. Students who do not meet the course requirements will be given the opportunity to improve any areas of weakness and be encouraged to pass at a later date.
