  • Finding Our Place

This last month has been quite busy for one and all don’t you think?  We are reviewing old programs that have become beliefs through habit.  If we don’t change and update the programs then we run and re-run the old ones through habit.   Now with the Summer Solstice it is up to us to cooperate with what is required in the coming phase.  Change makes us feel vulnerable but it does not need to be threatening, we need the courage to be sincere, open and honest with ourselves.  Until we do that inner work of sorting through childhood issues and the history of … more

  • Moving On

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

    ~ Carl Gustav Jung

To live the life of the Spirit calls for real courage and determination, for there will be times when you will have to stand very much alone. But this need not be done with grimness but with the real joy of the Spirit, with the knowledge that you know, at a soul level, where you are going and nothing and no one will be able to knock you off centre. Come what may you will reach the upcoming goal in quietness and confidence, and if necessary alone, but get there you will.  Then you can expect … more

  • Making a new sound by Cumie Dunio Amengual

What a gift to be able to look back upon a past experience from a new height of understanding and love.  This usually also means that any future reminders or similar challenges can be met with a much more fluid grace and ease - and perhaps even a smile, from knowing that you can handle it or knowing that it won't even be an issue.  My "knowing" is part due to the help from Judy Fraser and her Second Aid.  Now I can help inspire others in a tough spot by sharing my story.

  • Respect

It has been feeling as if we have had one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake for a while now.  Many have been feeling somewhat impatient alternating with decisiveness and inertia as we’ve tried to make up our minds what we are doing.  Quick action vying with fear of making a mistake leading us to frustration, irritability as we try to create updated disciplines yet desiring to be of service to the Greater Good.  Now is the time to trust our instincts and to act on them.  If we have the will, courage and willingness to follow our true path great things … more

  • 'Himself He Cooks'

I saw this film at SOAS in London last year and I thought that people should have the opportunity to see it. Often these small budget film are shown at a few film festivals and then disappear. It's a beautiful and inspirational, almost wordless, 2011 film about Seva at the Langar at the Golden Temple in Amritsah made by Valerie Berteau (Director) and I'm screening it on Thursday 24/04/14 at 7.30, for 8.00pm, at Sands Films in Rotherhithe, London SE16 4HZ. Yogi Tea will be served. This is a free event, but I'm asking for a donation for the venue hire.

You will need a ticket for … more

  • Life in movement!

For many we have been occupying a bit of a vacuous state the past few weeks as we waited for the  past chapter of our life to give way to the next.  Each of us have made their assessments in their own fashion.  Some went deep within and really understood more clearly why what has happened did so; some skated across the top convinced by their own delusions of ‘rightness’, so they had been totally unable and/or unwilling to view things from anyone else’s perspective other than their own Nor were they able to show tolerance, flexibility or forgiveness in … more

  • Our New Era

The Spring Equinox gives us the opportunity to ask the question: who am I and what is my place in the world in the coming era? We need to let go of what it was and so take full responsibility for what is happening in our lives now. No speculating what might be happening in the future, that only fragments us and as a result we loose our centre. We can create and accept change and let go of what is no longer serving us, as we surrender to life's flow but we must choose that to enable it. Nature has become unpredictable, and because we are a part of nature, we are also feeling this … more

    Fear then Courage

    and now

    Fulfilment and Service

Within life we have many defining lines that indicate the end of one chapter in our book of life and the beginning of the next one.  It is not a rare event and we get better at managing endings and beginnings as we go along.  Rarely are lines as clearly defined as that experienced by Liam and Marie (pictured above).  The line was drawn when Marie was involved in a head on collision.  This indelible marker was to redefine their lives.

On the 30th June 1998, at the midpoint of the year, Marie was driving in forestry … more

  • Mental Strength

Mental strength in theory can only be fully assessed if our heart is strong.  The union of the two becomes invincible.  The brain can only interpret data previously received.  Because of this the brain is a part of the problem because it can be too easily distracted, deceived, and defeated with old historical fear programmes.  The cure for this comes from the heart.  When the heart is open and gets past old damage we become able to flow love information both inwardly towards ourself as a person made to be the best we can be,  and outwardly towards all comers. & … more

  • What is your love like?

Love and loving is important so we need to ask ourselves is our love self-serving or disinterested?  Disinterested love expects nothing from others, it is not anxious, it does not cling to them, and it does not disturb them. It is a gushing spring, constantly giving without bothering to know who will come to take its water; it takes pleasure in sharing it without counting. Self-serving love, on the other hand, has a violent effect on others, for it is really only seeking to take, and at the slightest disappointment it expresses itself through impatience, anger, resentment, it lays guilt … more

Look for the Rainbows - Happy Summer Solstice

The most important thing is to find some quiet time to just stop and be with ourself. It is very difficult to get clear when there is external stuff going on and we are being bombarded by other people and their needs. We are important too, so make the time – we’re worth it.  It gives us the time to get clear on what we want to achieve and to re-establish our intention and goals.  Once we get clear on our bigger viewpoint we can work backwards to enable us to see the practical next step.  In that way we don’ … more
