  • BALANCE IS PARAMOUNT!

If we are able to find balance and honor another person’s wishes equal to our own we find that our pathway is relatively smooth in all  our relationships.  Not an easy ask for if we compromise too much, we sell ourselves short.  If we assert our status with too much passion all relationships suffer.  We begin to realize that the pursuit of happiness involves much more than we realize and must follow universal principles,  plus the appreciation of beauty, love for the sake of loving, harmony and trust so that all are honored and free!  We don’t have to sell ourself or anyone else short in the … more

  • Under the ‘Management Upstairs’ Umbrella

Most of us are familiar with the dark night of the soul which precedes the miracle of increased awareness.  There we re- examine the disappointments and disillusionment that have led us to want to raise standards where we can.  What we are often not so familiar with is the Earth vacuum that leads us from one chapter on our journey into the next.  It usually is somewhat chaotic.  We travel from feeling we have no options available to having to many of them! Then we  have to focus on what is relevant to us, our skills, abilities and our experiences.  Personal and group-based beliefs change … more

  • THE HARVEST BEGINS TO SHOW FORM

‘A declaration of love’… There are many things that could be said about this phrase. Humans are so used to declaring their love, without being aware that when they do so there is an element of self-interest and selfishness that creeps in. They want to attract someone, and they write or speak to the person as poetically as they can, choosing the right gestures, words and tone of voice, in the hope that the person they have chosen will be touched, charmed and delighted and will eventually be won over. And from then on, their loved one must understand that they have been ‘reserved’ and that no … more

  • Not all Ducklings are Ugly

Are you turning into a beautiful swan and growing up or still behaving like a demanding needy toddler who has tantrums if they don’t get their own way?  Are we sulking because things are not as we think they should be?  We’re being invited to grow up but will we?  Now is the time to reflect on our plans - and  where we need to make adjustments so as to re-frame our goals and to clarify our commitments so as to accommodate all, and not just ourselves. Notice how in our life certain things that we have been stuck within will suddenly feel like they are moving forward again, especially as they … more

  • Are there any sharks following you?

Is your opinion so important?  Has anyone asked you for it?  Do you know the full story or just what you have heard second or third hand?  Are you in a position to advise?  Do you have relevant experience?  Can you just listen?  Or, must you add your opinion?  Other people have opinions too and they may not harmonize with ours unless we are open to discuss respective values.   We don’t need sharks chasing us when we are paddling in our canoe do we?  We seem to create our own reality and it is the time to release the need for dominion over others unless we are asked for our involvement.  Nor … more

  • Finding Our Place

This last month has been quite busy for one and all don’t you think?  We are reviewing old programs that have become beliefs through habit.  If we don’t change and update the programs then we run and re-run the old ones through habit.   Now with the Summer Solstice it is up to us to cooperate with what is required in the coming phase.  Change makes us feel vulnerable but it does not need to be threatening, we need the courage to be sincere, open and honest with ourselves.  Until we do that inner work of sorting through childhood issues and the history of our communications with others we will … more

  • Moving On

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

    ~ Carl Gustav Jung

To live the life of the Spirit calls for real courage and determination, for there will be times when you will have to stand very much alone. But this need not be done with grimness but with the real joy of the Spirit, with the knowledge that you know, at a soul level, where you are going and nothing and no one will be able to knock you off centre. Come what may you will reach the upcoming goal in quietness and confidence, and if necessary alone, but get there you will.  Then you can expect miracles.

  • Making a new sound by Cumie Dunio Amengual

What a gift to be able to look back upon a past experience from a new height of understanding and love.  This usually also means that any future reminders or similar challenges can be met with a much more fluid grace and ease - and perhaps even a smile, from knowing that you can handle it or knowing that it won't even be an issue.  My "knowing" is part due to the help from Judy Fraser and her Second Aid.  Now I can help inspire others in a tough spot by sharing my story.

  • Respect

It has been feeling as if we have had one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake for a while now.  Many have been feeling somewhat impatient alternating with decisiveness and inertia as we’ve tried to make up our minds what we are doing.  Quick action vying with fear of making a mistake leading us to frustration, irritability as we try to create updated disciplines yet desiring to be of service to the Greater Good.  Now is the time to trust our instincts and to act on them.  If we have the will, courage and willingness to follow our true path great things are possible now.  But … more

  • 'Himself He Cooks'

I saw this film at SOAS in London last year and I thought that people should have the opportunity to see it. Often these small budget film are shown at a few film festivals and then disappear. It's a beautiful and inspirational, almost wordless, 2011 film about Seva at the Langar at the Golden Temple in Amritsah made by Valerie Berteau (Director) and I'm screening it on Thursday 24/04/14 at 7.30, for 8.00pm, at Sands Films in Rotherhithe, London SE16 4HZ. Yogi Tea will be served. This is a free event, but I'm asking for a donation for the venue hire.

You will need a ticket for entry and here … more

  • Our New Era

The Spring Equinox gives us the opportunity to ask the question: who am I and what is my place in the world in the coming era? We need to let go of what it was and so take full responsibility for what is happening in our lives now. No speculating what might be happening in the future, that only fragments us and as a result we loose our centre. We can create and accept change and let go of what is no longer serving us, as we surrender to life's flow but we must choose that to enable it. Nature has become unpredictable, and because we are a part of nature, we are also feeling this … more

  • Trust the process

    Trust the process ........

Now we somehow find the final push of energy we need to get to the end of the year. For many of us it has been a wobbly few weeks so this moon is coming at the perfect time to ground us, and help us to keep ramming through those obstacles and blockages.   The easiest way to is to surrender to the reality of any situation and do what feels best for you.  We have had illuminated to us that life is a mixture of both pain and pleasure in equal measure. It is up to us to decide which perspective we choose to focus on. When we can accept the duality of this thing and … more
