Mind and Meditation (6 day retreat)
To the yogi, the human mind is the instrument of the soul. It is potentially beyond the bounds of time and space and set for infinity.
This course explains the relationship of the individual mind to the Universal Mind or Chitta and how meditation is the methodology to transform a monkey mind into a receptacle of pure consciousness - so you experience the phenomenon of the Sky of Mind.

This KRI Certified module is part of a 310 hour program comprising five 62 hour modules (5 x 6 days). Graduates of Level Two earn the title of KRI Certified Practitioner of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® and, combined with Level One certification, fulfill the Yoga Alliance RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 500-hour requirement. Each Level 2 module has 50 contact hours. Whilst only KRI Level One Certified Instructors may be certified at Level Two we welcome other applicants with suitable alternative experience.
Building on the foundation of Level One, Level Two Teacher Training is about personal transformation and deepening the core qualities, character and consciousness of a Kundalini Yoga teacher.
In this level, the Instructor cultivates the yogic capacities of intuition, neutrality and self-assessment within the five mirrors of consciousness:
• Conscious Communication – Uplift and penetrate through the power of the word.
• Mind and Meditation – Conquer the mind and conquer the world.
• Authentic Relationships – Unfold your true identity in the matrix of conscious relationship.
• LifeCycles and LifeStyles – Discover mystery and mastery through every cycle of life.
• Vitality and Stress – Cultivate the caliber to guide yourself and others through life’s challenges.
What is the Mind?
The mind has a material existence.
Thought has not been objectively measured but it leads to emotion and emotion derives from the interaction between the electrical and chemical nervous systems (neurons/endocrine glands)
The mind is not a thing it is a process.
The mind is not a destination it is a vehicle for the journey.
The destination is God/union; the mind the means to get there – or not.
The mind is like a shark – ever moving if it stops it cannot function.
It is not just your mind it is universal and is in receipt of all all the time but defaults to the familiar trodden paths – the most thought thoughts.
Meditation is a process which progressively makes you less aware of the gross habitual mind and more aware of the subtler levels of universal mind.
The mind likes duality, polarity, contrast; it likes to classify.
YOU are not the mind.
You are pure awareness (not just awareness of the mind)
Still the mind and experience more awareness.

Enhance the depth of your understanding of meditation. This course is an opportunity for you to assess your meditative skill and refine your approach to meditation. To master the mind, you must master meditation.
Help you focus on and explicitly elaborate your relationship to your own mind. Many people practice basic meditation without consciously assessing, understanding and commanding the mind.
Increase your ability to observe neutrally, to become still, to clear your mind of distractions and intrigues, to recognize when you establish a state of shuniya, and to recognize the different functional parts of your mind.
Experience and practice the use of intuition as a primary skill that comes from Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.
Learn the structure of the mind as described in The Mind book.
Examine all the impersonal minds, guna qualities of the mind, and the 9 aspects of the mind.
Understand how to use the 27 projections of the mind.
Examine how to apply this to your own mind, and in your life.
Be confident to teach and incorporate these ideas in your classes.
No, you will not be a master of all this in six days of study but this journey will lay the foundations for ongoing personal development and increasing skills as a Practitioner in the Level Two Aquarian Teacher Training: Transformation. In this transformation process you begin with this class, which really has no end, only a good beginning.
The motto for this course is “If you conquer the mind, you conquer the world.” However, there is one caveat: the mind is not a thing. Not in the way a piece of wood or a stone is. It is a process. It is a network of relationships. It is energy, seeking and relinquishing form incessantly. In many languages, there is no noun for the mind. In Spanish and German, words for the mind name what it does, such as remember, think or give thoughts. In English, it is easy to turn verbs into nouns and therefore we are easily misled into believing the mind is an object that can be separated from the matrix of emotions, relationships, and processes it exists within. To conquer your mind, cultivate a relationship to its actions and an awareness of its functional parts. Form a relationship to your awareness, your self, your mind and your Infinite being. Life will blossom with unlimited blessings.
